There will be NO SCHOOL for ALL SMITH COUNTY STUDENTS Monday, 11/23, and Tuesday, 11/24, before the Thanksgiving break due to limited teacher/staff availability and significant student absences related to COVID-19 illness/exposure. We are doing everything we can to keep our students, staff, and families healthy. Buildings will be sprayed for sanitation during this closure. After Thanksgiving break, beginning Monday, November 30, IN-PERSON students will begin a hybrid schedule that will run through Friday, February 12. The 2020-21 school calendar has not been altered and all breaks and holidays will be observed as previously scheduled.
During the hybrid learning schedule,
All PreK-2nd grade students will attend every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. All PreK-2nd grade students will learn remotely on Wednesday from home.
3-8th grade students will be divided into 2 groups. The red team will attend Mondays and Thursdays while the white team will attend Tuesdays and Fridays. On Wednesdays, all 3-8th grade students will learn remotely from home. Students will bring home a note tomorrow with their team color assignment.
If a student that has siblings at GHS or SCHS needs to change teams, please contact Mrs.Pope as soon as possible.
STUDENTS MUST UNDERSTAND THAT THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ATTENDING THEIR CLASSES VIRTUALLY AND COMPLETING WORK ON DAYS THEY ARE REMOTE.
Faculty and staff will report as normal, 5 days a week. See the calendar below for Forks River School's hybrid schedule.
