Please read the attached Open Enrollment Informational flyer carefully. Over Fall Break, at the Central Office, we will be hosting some informational sessions along with a virtual Q&A session with Partners4Health as well as some local insurance providers. If you have ANY questions about your insurance options, NOW is the time to get answers. If you are unable to attend the live virtual session that we will host at the office on Monday, I will be posting the recorded version on our District website as soon as it's available to us.

Additionally, Allison Keith from the Smith County Health Department will be at the Central Office next Thursday, October 15, from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM. She will be available to discuss low-cost and no-cost healthcare services offered by Nurse Practitioners through the county health department.

Any changes made to your insurance plans MUST be made during the month of October. We are requiring that changes be submitted NO LATER THAN 4:00pm on Monday, October 26. 
 
If you would like to make changes, please print and complete the highlighted portions of the attached enrollment change application and bring it to the Central Office before the deadline above.

Teachers of the Year Spotlight

District Teachers of the Year

Mrs. Megan Campbell

Grades PK-4th- Mrs. Megan Campbell teaches 3rd Grade Math at Gordonsville Elementary. She has been teaching for 13 years.

Mrs. Lisa Dillingham

Grades 5th-8th- Lisa Dillingham, a middle school special education teacher at Gordonsville High, has dedicated 33 years to supporting student success.

Ms. Teri Dockery

Grades 9-12th- Teri Dockery has led Smith County High's Cosmetology program since 2016, blending classroom teaching with current salon experience.

Art Spotlight of the Month

We are excited to spotlight student artwork in the Smith County Board Room! New student creations will be featured each month during our regular board meetings. Special thanks to our art teachers-Leona Phillips, Heidi Massey, and Jenni Penuel-and our incredibly talented students for sharing their creativity with our community.
