COMFORT CLOSET
GHS is proud to offer a FREE and CONFIDENTIAL service for our students-- The Comfort Closet.
The Comfort Closet provides free items for any GHS student in need. Items include non-perishable foods, toiletries, school supplies, and more. Items can be picked up in a variety of ways including the shelf outside Mrs. Reed's door which is stocked at all times, from Mrs. Reed's closet (which has a much larger selection of items), through confidential text requests using the Remind app (link below), and now through an online request form (information and link below).
We are happy to announce a new way for GHS students to privately request items from the GHS Comfort Closet. Students can fill out a request form (must be logged in to your Smith County Google account) and we will prepare a backpack with as many of the requested items as possible to be picked up from the office each Friday. Pickup can be scheduled as a one-time event, or recurring weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly. This is only available for GHS students and only one request form per family will be accepted.
Each GHS student that submits a request for his/her family will be issued a numbered backpack. That backpack will be given to the student at the end of the school day on Friday and must be returned to the GHS office before any more items will be prepared and delivered.
